freezes during boot up
I'm using a IBM Thinkpad T40. It wasn't until recently that the computer will always freeze up when I start it up. At first, everything seems normal but it is after the loading screen in which you see the Windows XP name and logo. The screen just goes to black. After 2-3 minutes, it says it has to check my FAT32 file system and it never gets past this. Either it freezes at 1% or it just freezes if you try to cancel the disk check. I have no clue what to do so any help would be useful. Thanks. If you need more info about the computer, I will try and get it since I m writing this on a different computer.
