Heat, warranty?
I have a HP Pavillion tx1000 laptop and have been using it for nearly a year now..I think. Well the problem is, it heats up really really fast.
e.g Running on BALANCED with two Opeara broswers open (3 tabs in total) Also running MSN My laptops temperature ranges from 60-70 (I'm using a cooling pad and it doesn't seem to work at all) First of all, I'm not really sure if this is a normal temperature for my laptop. If it isn't, can warranty cover to replace it? Or to remove the dust inside? I have compressed air but it didn't get all of the dust out and I refuse to open up my laptop to avoid the risk of voiding my warranty. So..any answers? guidance? Thanks!!! :) |

Re: Heat, warranty?
Hello and welcome to TSF...
Well, if you do not want to open laptop so you can clean it good from inside [because your warranty will void] return it so they can fix it for you... I can tell you that 60-70C is not good temperature for a laptop... I have had similar problems with my laptop... I have Acer Aspire 5720Z and after waking up from stand by, my laptop would go hot in few minutes and it would turn off immidiatelly to prevent any damage... After I have flashed BIOS to the newest version everything is normal now, it seems new BIOS is good... So I can suggest you to try with flashing BIOS... If this does not + cleaning with compressed air, and you do not want to open laptop, return it and let them fix laptop for you... Hope this will help you mate... |
