error code microsoft dont want to sort[moved from xp]

Hello on my toshiba equium i was reinstalling xp and it went ok and it loaded the windows updates and failed to load service pack 3 ,giving me a error code of 0xD0000005 microsoft gave us this code but they cant tell me how to fix it because there knollege is not available at this time(its been a week now)this fault is making my puter not download programs correctly,any help would be great

check your permissions
it relates to windows update lacking the permissions to install

thankyou but how do i check permissions,it also says extraction failed file is corrupt any help please

if the file is corrupted during the download you will need to download it again

right click on setup and run as admin
