help! Dell Inspirion E1505 1390 wlan Mini-card

My hardware was destroyed and I had to reformat my laptop. It is a dell inspirion e1505. I installed all the drivers previously installed on my laptop and they all work, but my wireless card doesn't seem to be working. Bluetooth is fine, and the light is on. The "wi-fi" light, is not. In device manager i have the dell wireless 1390 wlan min-card present but with an exclamation mark. After i click it, it says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" I have tried uninstalling, rebooting, and updating the latest drivers. I'm stuck. I've even tried re-seating the card and yes, I installed the drivers according to dell's website in order., but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any pointers on fixing my problem?

thanks!!

Re: help! Dell Inspirion E1505 1390 wlan Mini-card

Hi,

I understand you uninstalled it in Device Manager. Have you checked if there is a program somehow related to your WiFi card or WiFi drivers in ADD/REMOVE? If there is uninstall them too. I mean after uninstalling in Device Manager, uninstall the related programs in ADD/REMOVE. Reboot the laptop. Get the Wireless drivers from DELL website and install them (again).

Re: help! Dell Inspirion E1505 1390 wlan Mini-card

I am not really sure but I know Intel does install a separate software to manage the Wireless connection. May be if you can upload a screenshot of your ADD/REMOVE, then we can help identify if ever there is a related program in there.

Re: help! Dell Inspirion E1505 1390 wlan Mini-card

If you have uninstalled it in Device Manager, then uninstall the DELL Wireless WLAN Card program in ADD/REMOVE. Power the laptop OFF.

If you can, access the Wireless card and reseat (hoping this is still working) in its socket making sure it is well seated in. Power ON the laptop and download the related driver from DELL website and install.

Check in Device Manager the status (if there yellow marks on the device). If it is NOT recognized by the system consider replacing it with a good/working card for testing purposes only.

Re: help! Dell Inspirion E1505 1390 wlan Mini-card

GET THIS> I had the similar problem that the wirelesslan card installed but did not work so I wentto get a driver update and entered the service tag and went to the Inspirion 9400 download page and found the network then the dell 1390 wireless WLAN mini card and downloaded the multi driver huge bundle and then when I went to use the saved download the d river was for a dell 1370 wireles blah blah and not the 13900 Of course you cant chat or get tech support if you are out of warranty so I used feedbback to tell them they have in incorrect reference with their link. so that may be why you cant get it to start. the code 10 willnot start references usually to incorrect drivers. SO if they send me a correction or I find the correct and lates version of drivers iwill link them here.
if you have them please link me to them ok? thanks
