sony vaio laptop backlight stopped working
My Sony Vaio Laptop backlight just stopped working. The display is not visible even when it is just booting up. I can see it very dimly with a flashlight shining on the screen. I would appreciate any ideas on what I can do to correct this. Thank you

Re: sony vaio laptop backlight stopped working
Hello & welcome to TSf,
Is the system still under warrenty ? If it is contack the manufacture .. If not then it would be best to take it to a repair shop it depends from shop to shop but you are looking at spending at least $150 & up it not a bad process but a technical one Mike |

Re: sony vaio laptop backlight stopped working
This one looks like a dead inverter or a busted backlight. Consider replacing either one but I encourage you to start with the inverter (easier to replace than the backlight).
