dv9000 shuts down while playing game
I got the laptop back in October 2006, it is the HP Entertainment PC, 17" widescreen, Intel Centrino Due, nVidia GFORCE GO 7600. About 2 days ago it started shutting down while I am playing the game Counter-Strike (1.6 version) it gives no warning. It doesn't restart on its own I have to physically press the power button. And I don't thing that it turns off because of overheating; I have it set to give me a warning if the core temperature reaches a critical state. If anyone has any clue or ideas I would greatly appreciate it.

Re: dv9000 shuts down while playing game
May be it is overheating. Get a program that displays your temps like NHC or SpeedFan and observe how high the temps get before you get an unwanted shut off.
