Toshiba S9337 Laptop to LCDHD TV
Greetings,
First off, thank you for putting enough time into this as to just read this. I have a Toshiba Satelite 9337 Laptop which I am attempting to connect to a Westinghouse 720 HD TV to utilize as a "secondary", yet primary monitor. My laptop has S-Video, VGA, and DVI outputs. Audio is not a concern for me. I have read forums for hours on end, with negative results of any kind. My laptop runs a GeForce 7900 Go video card. I've adjusted resolutions for both the laptop's monitor and my "secondary" (TV) monitor back and forth hoping for the combination. The recommended resolution giving by the TV's manual was little help. I still receive no signal. I've also adjusted color-bits, and nearly anything else I could. I've tried connecting it using both VGA-VGA, and DVI-HDMI, no success on either. I'm certain it is possible, I also possess an eMachines desktop which I was able to hook up to the TV using the same VGA cords that I tried on the laptop. The NVIDIA Control Panel for the laptop was of little help as well, mostly consisted of what position it wanted the secondary monitor in, and quality vs. performance for the video card. Upon restarting my laptop (on boot up), the TV picks up a signal for just a second, causing the TV to automatically switch over to the HDMI input. However, the signal fades instantly, putting the TV on an automatic timer to shut back off. The screen remains black the entire time. If there is any other information you would require, I'll be more than happy to help. Thank you once again for your time. |
