wireless problems

My moms laptop is experiencing problems with the wireless card. We went on vacation for 2 weeks, and when we returned the wireless was not working at all, i tried reloading the computer to factory settings and it did nothing.

before anyone says "is the wireless switch turned on?" yes it is, when i go to find a network that i want it cant locate any. says i need to plug in a ethernet cord but i dont want to do that.

any ideas?

right click on the connection icon in the tray
click on run repair
