HP dv2637tx XP drivers problem
HP Pavilion dv2637tx
XP SP2 Hi, I recently (and carelessly) downgraded a HP Pavilion dv2637tx notebook from Vista to XP. But I have trouble getting the drivers to work. Drivers: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3593147 I installed the HP WWAN Broadband Wireless Drivers, but nothing happened. XP does not seem to recognize the device. HP Wireless Assistant said the device is disabled in device manager. Under "Other devices" in Device Manager, I can see "Ethernet controller" and "Network controller", but under "Network Adapters", there is only the 1394 one. I can't find the right chipset, graphics, audio, etc. driver either. I tried almost all drivers for the dv2000 family, but so far the only one that's working is HP Integrated Module Driver (the Bluetooth controller) Please help! I'm in critical need of the wireless capability, please point me the problem, I'm totally stuck. Thank you very much! And yeah, I actually didn't know that there isn't a driver CD for HP notebooks, and didn't even bother to read about the whole recovery disk thing. I'm amazed at myself, "stupid" isn't enough. |
