Toshiba U400 wake from hibernation issue

I have 4 Satellite U400 laptops in the office all experiencing issues with hibernate mode. Once laptop has gone into hobernate mode it won't resume. The only thing we can do is remove the battery. Any ideas? I've been on numerous sites but not found anything concrete.

honestly, hibernate still has alot of bugs in it, I've always had nothing but problems with it ever since XP first came out.

only things I could suggest is to make sure to update the BIOS, update windows, test the hard drives for bad sectors, test the memory, other than that, I've noticed the more things that are running when its put into hibernate, the more it screws up.
