New HP pavillion DV7-1034ca Audio IN Problem
First of all the operating system is Vista64 HOME PREMIUM fully up to date.
I need to input an audio signal into the "mic" jack, and "Monitor" this audio through the notebooks speakers. I can't get this to function, HP is no help, they tried but... I did this easily with my older HP ZD-8210CA notebook. This new notebook uses a "IDT HD Audio" sound adapter, The audio comes from a ICOM PCR1000 software controlled radio. The cabling is a 1/8" mono cable. FYI the radio is interfaced to the notebook via a USB/SERIAL adapter. The software that contolls the radio works fine. The audio out is independant of the Usb/Serial adapter. This audio into the mic is so I can 1. Listen to radio 2. Be able to record this audio within the control softwarel Is anuone familiar with this IDT adapter in the new HP notebook? Any ideas? Thanks |
