Steam from shower bad for laptop?

If this should be obvious, forgive me. Anyway, if I have a laptop in my bathroom while i am taking a shower (fairly large bathroom) with the fan cranked, door open and a not very steamy shower, will there be enough moisture to harm my laptop? Same question with high steam, same situation? Any ideas?

Re: Steam from shower bad for laptop?

Most laptops have a humidity tolerance or specification. If moisture forms on the laptop, then I'd suggest you not leave it in there.

Re: Steam from shower bad for laptop?

Well, we can begin by finding out the laptop brand and model number.

Re: Steam from shower bad for laptop?

Can't get the Dell manual to work. The laptop should be fine as long as the steam is non-condensing.

Re: Steam from shower bad for laptop?

Would the door open, fan on approach help?

its like moving stuff from a hot room to a cold room, you will get some moister, if you have to wipe off the screen, the I would not turn on the laptop for a hour or more.

You can go to the manufacturers webpage for the specific model and look for the specifications page.
