[SOLVED] Disc Drive Loading Sound

I have a Toshiba A205-S74468 and whenever my disc driver loads(Putting a Disc in or Starting up) it makes a horrible long sound like the spinning thing is hitting on the laptop plastic.

It all happen when I turn on my laptop with a CD inside and i started my laptop up side way.

Re: Disc Drive Loading Sound

Obviously this sounds more of a mechanical issue on the CD/DVD drive. I think something broke inside or has come loose. Of course you can check it out by opening it up and repairing it yourself. You can also get a replacement.

If it is worth anything to you, I really doubt this has something to do with the laptop itself. The optical drives (CD/DVD) are enclosed drives just like a hard drive... so moving parts are kept inside it.

Re: Disc Drive Loading Sound

I got it fix when i was messing around with it trying to fix it.

I tried flipping my laptop upside down and pushing on the bottom of the Disc Driver. Then opening and closing it few time, and it work. It has the regular sound of the driver spinning.
