Old Dell Laptop is Making a Siren Sound
Hi
My old Dell P-100 laptop is now making a siren sound when attempting to boot it up - then shuts down. What is wrong with it. This is simply being used as a wordprocessor - nothing more. What is wrong with it?  Thanks - blue |

It could be a short. Try replacing the RAM with a new one or a good working spare.
Post back what happens.
