TV on laptop

I have an HP dv2500 and was wondering how I could watch live TV on my laptop. I don't have a TV in my apartment, and as a poor, overworked (and not very tech savvy) college student I'm looking for the easiest and cheapest solution (if it exists). HP keeps advertising a slingbox and an HP TV tuner, but I don't know very much about them, or if there are any other options. Any advice is appreciated.

Hi, welcome to TSF.

You could get a USB tv tuner. I've heard about them, but I don't know what the picture quality is like. I haven't seen one for less than $100AUS though.
