Windows xp not detecting any sata hdd in Hp Pavillin dv6000 (dv6740yu)
I have a problem with Hp Pavillin dv6000 (dv6740yu) its having windows vista home basic. But i want to change the operating system vista to xp-sp2. but my notebook not detecting any hdd drive with windows xp. but i booted with windows 98 and deleted all partitions and created new partitions with win98 as well as Disk Manager. but i neaver found any hdd driver with windows xp operating cd. i found some solutions with hp site. its given sata drivers but i dont have any Fdd. then i purchased new External FDD. and than tried. but its not detected any hdd. in hp site it given, in bios System Configuration "sata nativemode" setting will be desabled. but in my bios no setting will apear in system configuration. please help me

Try nlite to slipstream your SATA drivers with XP. This would remove the need of an FDD.
