Re: Upgrading graphics?

Hi Hub13,

Most laptops have GPUs integrated on to the motherboard. Check your model if your GPU is integrated or not. If you are planning to do an upgrade, it may be possible if your motherboard supports the replacement and if the replacement would fit in your laptop.

Re: Upgrading graphics?

The GPU is the video chip. As I said, check your motherboard if your video chip is integrated or not. Get hold of the service manual for your model and open up the laptop to see for yourself. Another way is to call ACER and ask them about your motherboard if it has an integrated video chip.

And supposing my motherboard was compatible or wutever where would I buy a graphics chip. -- Well that depends but try eBay or other online computer parts shops. Again Google is your friend. Most often the store can answer questions on compatibility.

Lastly if you really want to play games and prefer doing it on a laptop, get an entertainment or gaming notebook: http://www.bizwaremagic.com/best_gaming_notebooks.htm

Thank you for your help so far i really apprecieate it :)
