Dell M140 shuts off seconds after starting

Hi,

I have a Dell XPS M140 and it's doing something really annoying. I can not get it to start. I push the button and the lights start going. A second or two later, the unit just powers off before anything ever comes up on the screen. Help !!!!

Hi,

Check if you have RAM installed or replace your RAM modules with a known working one. Start with that. If it behaves the same, then remove the HDD and CD drive and try power ON. If you can access the WiFi card and modem card, try removing them also.

By the way, when did this start? Any recollection how this started?
