Fresh Start

well i've had my laptop for about 2 years give or take a few months and i've been thinking of getting a new one but don't know what to get all these choices saying "we're the best" and the other guys saying "no your not the best we are"
so i would just like to get the real deal not some hyped up hunk a junk i don' t wanna make any regrets

and to answer a few questions...

Budget: roughly 1500 to 2000

Screen: nothing huge but nothing too small either 17 maybe

Brands: not picky

Mobility: i get around alot

Durability: strong but nothing crazy

Multitasking: on a daily basis that's one of the main reasons i'm getting a new one

Gaming: not that much but i want it to be able to perform if i needed to

Calculations: not really

Storage: quite a bit with my old laptop i was able to fill it in a matter of weeks and i've had to delete somethings ever since it was 60GB i'm thinking along the lines of minimum double that

Optical Media: burning DVDs and making CDs

Operating System: i've had vista for over a year and never had a problem so i would like to go with vista
