External CD ROM Issue

External CD ROM Issue
Okay, so I bought this external cd rom, and my laptop took a crap on me and my cd rom is broken, then I accidentally typed in the wrong combo for vista and it is deleting everything on my hard drive, now I need to reinstall vista with the right combo, but I can not get it to boot from that external USB cd rom, any ideas?

Re: External CD ROM Issue

Sorry to hear about that... well your best option is to have the CD drive replaced. The convenience of having one especially when you are doing a fresh install would pay for whatever it costs.
