Toshiba a215 screen issue

A toshiba a215 laptop was brought to me for repair. Laptop had been dropped and screen was broken. I ordered a new screen from vender and replaced. When unit is powered up only a very faint image shows on screen. When shining a flashlight through back of screen image of desktop can be seen. I replaced the IF inverter twice with new inverters, same results. I am thinking that the backlight may be the problem eventhough screen is new. Does anyone have any thought's or experenced this . Thank you..steve

Hi Steve,

I agree. It could be a backlight problem. May be you can still return that LCD and have it changed for a good working one.

I am waiting for the company to send me a RMA so I can return, I was just wondering if there may be any other issues I should be looking at, I have been able to use a external monitor for viewing with good results but nothing on the laptop screen...steve
