BSOD on laptop, windows won't start at all, not even in safe mode

First time this has ever occured on my laptop:
Asked me to check if I have adequate disk space. But how would I manage that on my laptop if Windows won't even load when I restart?
Also says if a driver is identified in the stop message, try disabling the driver or look for updates. Try changing the video adapter (I'm kind of leaning towards this for the source of the problem).

Check for BIOS updates.. yadeeyada..

Stop: 0x00000008E (0xC0000005, 0xBF83ACC9, 0xF76CBC9C, 0x00000000)

win32k.sys Address BF83ACC9 base at BF800000, DateStamp 47e0106

Does anyone know where the source of the problem could be?
And why I am unable to restart, even? (Everytime I restart it would lead me to the blue screen again :( )

Here's what I've been doing with my computer:

I used to use WindowsBlinds but it kept on freezing on me so I uninstalled it.
I recently (two weeks ago or so) installed rocketdock which is basically a free docking program. Haven't had any problems with it until today just before the BSOD, it froze. (But pretty much all other programs I have open at the time froze as well..)
Right before the BSOD, I was browsing a news page on firefox, nothing major, no intense graphics or anything, just text.
I was also trying to load a DVD of home movies of my family. At first I was attempting to play it in VLC, it won't load so I attempted windows media player, then media player froze (though I have played the movie before in media player and never encountered any problems). So after media player froze firefox froze and the dock froze.
So I restarted the laptop and landed at the BSOD.
That's why I'm thinking it might be a problem with my video adapter?

To explain why it suggests I check for adequate disk space.. I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure I had at most half filled the hard drive..
I downloaded ZBrush yesterday, which is only 35mb.
I also tried downloading a mmorpg, which was 1 gig, but it failed at about 27%.

Please help me!
I would like to load windows properly even for a little bit, so I can at least reformat or something.
And yes, I am a complete newbie.

edit:: Sorry, forgot to mention that I'm using XP professional.
edit2:: I left the laptop on at the BSOD screen for a bit while I was typing this message.. my laptop burned up pretty intensely.
It's never been that hot before... not sure if this is at all relevant. Just thought I should explain the situation as much as possible so you can help me better xD

Thanks so much for your time!

tap f8 when booting and try

Re: BSOD on laptop, windows won't start at all, not even in safe mode

F8 doesn't do anything...
I tried booting in safe mode, the whole screen became a repeat of:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(0)\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVER\...etc

Re: BSOD on laptop, windows won't start at all, not even in safe mode

boot into the recovery console and run
fixboot
if you only have a recovery disk, you will need to borrow a full disk to access the recovey console
