Toshiba Satellite A10 Graphics card Driver Problem

Hi all i just installed my graphics card drivers and every thing else i just installed Counter Strike Source and when i go to load the game it comes up with a error message saying that the driver has failed and to restart the pc to restart the driver can any one help thanks in advance

If this happens after installing CSS it could be some driver incompatibility. Uninstall CSS and see if your laptop works without problems.

so what am i looking for in the tests btw counter strike source is not in list

Oh ok. My fault. I did not try to search for CSS on the list of games there. But as I mentioned previously it could be an incompatible driver. Check if you have yellow marks in Device Manager. If you do, reinstall the driver.

ok so i checked the driver to see if it had a yellow mark and it does not so i tried to reinstall windows and counter strike still the same problem

Hi,

I think there is a driver incompatibility there. Besides, laptops are no good for games compared to desktops. But that is just my two cents.

Best if you can find a similar laptop to yours running the same CSS version, then may be you can compare notes. But as it is, I can only point my fingers to the incompatibility.

Kindly reply to the following questions below:

Please provide more information about your laptop and post the full error messages. "Driver has failed" could mean graphics, sound, mouse, etc.

If you have reinstalled Windows, did you install the latest chipset drivers, device drivers, MS updates, and DirectX? Has the game ever worked on that computer? At what point does it crash?
