Dell Inspiron 2200

I have a Dell Inspiron 2200. Lately it has been giving me the message that your battery is reaching its usable life and needs replacement. The laptop is less than 2 years old. Is it usual to replace battery within 2 years? Can I do something else??

Thanks

Can I do something else??

Thanks
