Problems With Sony vaio Recovery discs
I have a two part problem using my system recovery discs. I have deleted my hard drive and am wanting to reinstall the laptop to factory settings.
I have a pcgfrv31 sony vaio laptop First, when I ran the first disc, It stated "no system drive detected". I then clicked ok. Out of the three options to restore, two were not accessable leaving me with only the custom install option. I chose it and clicked ok. after going through the options a status bar came up showing the progress and right before it got to the end I recieved this error. "Error occurred while partitioning. Error Code:4" I clicked ok and the laptop restarted. The second problem is now when I try to use the discs I get an error stating the discs cannot be used on this computer and that I need to confirm the model type. Any insight is appreciated. |

Re: Problems With Sony vaio Recovery discs
are the discs your only option? any other copy at hand? looks like this is not a laptop issue but a recovery disc issue.
