Re: ati2drag problem-device driver got stuck in an infinite loop
Hey mate,
what exactly is your error message??? It would go like this: 0x00000024 or 0x0000007E... What make/model is your HDD??? Visit manufacturers Web site and download testing tools and test your HDD for possible bad sectors... Is it SATA or PATA HDD... If test go OK, then go to recovery Console and run CHKDSK /R and CHKDSK /P... Hope this will help you mate...

Re: ati2drag problem-device driver got stuck in an infinite loop
Hey there,
open the case and on Hard Disk Drive you will see tag and on tag you will see what is the manufacturer of yours HDD... It could be Western Digital, Seagate, maxtor etc... So you need to go to manufacturers Web site and download testing tools to check your HDD... If software finds some bad sectors, you could try to isolate them, but usually when you have a few bad sectors it will spread and it is a sign that your HDD is dieing... So if software finds some bad sectors, better consider to back up data and to buy new HDD... How old is your HDD??? Have you ever had some problems with HDD before???

Re: ati2drag problem-device driver got stuck in an infinite loop
Hey there,
you can not even go into BIOS??? In Bios you could check what make/model is your HDD... And provide us with error message... Also, provide us what make/model is your laptop... If you have more than 1 stick of RAM, pull out one and start PC... If this does not help, put it back and pull out other one... Report back please...

Re: ati2drag problem-device driver got stuck in an infinite loop
The driver causing trouble, Ati2drag, is an ATI video driver.
Update the video driver: http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html Thread moved. |
