Not really valuable, it's just a pain. Last time I did it I had so much trouble with the serial and stuff so I didn't want to go through that again and also build up my music collection again..that'll teach me not to back up.

It probably would of been able to of been fixed like that, I could move it about and push it together and it would either a) create sparks b) have power..so I didn't want the risk of it setting on fire and so I bought a new one.. :P

Re: BSOD with laptop.

Hi,

Any results of the RAM and HDD tests? I suggest you use them to know if you have hardware failures in both components. As you said previously that they may lead to a reinstall... yes, I agree but doing the reinstall without testing them is just a waste of time if ever they are already defective to begin with.

Again, I must reiterate... do the tests that I advised you to do.

Please DO NOT USE the XP Pro that you downloaded via TORRENT. Most torrent files contain infections that we do not know of. That would complicate things not to mention that it could be (AFAIK) illegal. To be very safe (while keeping it legal) use or get the HP recovery CD for your laptop model from HP website.
