Hot Sony Vaio

Hi I need help because Sony is to stupid to do anything except tell me to send in my computer for 7-10 days. Whatever. Anyway my laptop is running hot and the fan seems to be constantly going. I need a solution to this. I have the laptop set so that it is not directly on the table it is elevated. The temp is currently 60 degrees celcius. Does anyone have any advice. Also the touchpad is a POS it only works sometimes I would love sugestions for that also - thanks

Re: Hot Sony Vaio

As for the running hot issue, give the laptop a good clean inside. If you are not comfortable opening it up get a can of compressed air and shoot some thru the vents. Make sure you blow most if not all of the dust out.

As for the touchpad, uninstall the drivers in Device Manager. Also check ADD/REMOVE if there are other touchpad driver related programs. If you do (i.e. Synaptics, etc..), uninstall it also then reboot. Let Windows recognize the touchpad. If needed download the touchpad drivers for your model.

By the way, what Sony Vaio model is this?
