Hi, I've looked through a few of these threads and no definitive answer so here is my problem.
I have had a problem that has progressed over the last few weeks, and now has reached to this stage. It started with the screen flickering at the top right corner, then horizontal lines started showing in the same place, now there is a white bright distortion at the top as well as the lines. Here are three pictures of the screen, the resolution is low as it is a 2.0 mp camera.

Re: Laptop LCD Problem
Hi,
Does it appear the same when using an external monitor? Try with an existing monitor ( I think it will not appear there) just to be sure. Is this happening when you are in Windows or even during POST or in BIOS settings? Just a few things to check. 1. LCD cable connection. Visually check for any cracks or cuts. Also check the connection. Make sure they are seated properly and securely in their sockets. 2. Reboot and enter BIOS settings, is the screen the same?

Re: Laptop LCD Problem
Thanks for your speedy reply Trigger,
1. It happens during BIOS, during boot-up 2. Displays perfectly well on a TV and on an external monitor 3. LCD cable connection visually "appears" to be fine, inverter is seated properly, everything is seated properly I probably should've mentioned all that in the initial post, but now I think all the bases are covered. |

Re: Laptop LCD Problem
Yeah, was hoping it wasn't going to be that, that's the most expensive route, was hoping it would be a cable I overlooked, or a... or... I got nothing, I figured it was going to be the display itself, Thanks Trigger
