Please tell me how to turn on infrared on laptop

if all laptops now have infrared function, then please tell me how to turn on infrared on my machine.Wait! Do just give me a general method cuz i tried those but they doesn't work for ME. Mine's a Toshiba TECRA A9, I don't see any sign of infrared in Device Manager, if you wanna take a look of my divice manager, it's in the attached files, but it's not in the BIOS either, is it because of the bios is too old i don't know, the version is "acpi bios version 1.80", if any one is using the same version then please tell me how exactly do i turn on the infrared function. and if there's any other way i can do it plzz tell me, i'm really mad at this thing now...

Hi I take it ME refers to your good self and not the OS as this model shipped with Vista and it probably doesn't have Infrared it does however have bluetooth. What are you trying to do with infrared?

may be it would help if you post the exact model.

i just thought i should post the model number, it's PTS52C-MH109C, i was asking because i want to download some free mobile games, but most sites only give the download to PC link, so i had to figure out how things work. The bluetooth thing, how should i turn it on, if only i have that?

and i just searched with the model number, i don't see any sign of bluetooth or infrared, could that be? Don't most laptops nowadays have at least one of those functions?? one strange thing, it says there is only one gig of ram and the OS is Vista on this page http://www.toshiba.ca/web/product.gr...1&product=7130, but mine actually have 2 gigs and the OS is XP. Should i assume that one model number could have different outcomes?

What is you want to do with either Bluetooth or Infrared?
If it's an internet connection your looking for that would be a built in wireless adapter.

im not sure if this helps but my old laptop was a toshiba and it had a switch for infra red....
