DVD Combo question

Hi

New to this forum.
Anyone familiar with changing DVD combo drives in laptops.
In particular, Presario 700.
A have a very tidy one here with only a cd drive.
Would like to change to a combo.
Being an older laptop I am looking for only a used item.
(Would go for a new one at the right price)
Can't seem to find the correct one in my part of he country.
I am told there are others that would fit but the front panel or facia has to be changed.
Would anyone know if this is correct & what other units could be made to fit.

Thanks

Would anyone know if this is correct & what other units could be made to fit.

Re: DVD Combo question

Thanks for the quick reply.
I do have the guide & service manual, which shows this model running a DVD CDRW combo drive.
Hadn't concidered a problem with the bios.
I do have the latest available updates of everthing on it, including XP SP3.
I am quite capable of swapping the drives if I can find one.
I see a few suitable ones on ebay but they are on the other side of the world.
I'll just keep looking, one might pop up somewhere closer.
