spilled milk

i have a hp pavilion zd8220us. i spilled milk on it while it was on and nothing happened. next day i noticed all my keys on my keyboard is working but sometimes u have to press it really hard for it to work (these r not the keys that i spilled the milk on) and my battery is at 0% and says unable to charge. i opened the computer and found a small portion of the motherboard has some dried milk on it and some on the battery terminal. i cleaned the mother board the best way i can and it still does not work so i bought a new keyboard from HP still dosent work. i went and bought a USB key board from walmart it works. does anyone has any idea what is wrong wit my computer. any ideas how to clean the motherbord or is my mother board DONE. everything else works fine. thank you for all ur help

Re: spilled milk

as for your keyboard, considering it is new, i think you have some problems with its connection to the motherboard.

as for your battery, you may need to test it on another similar laptop. with proof of milk on the contacts, it is not a good sign. it may have shorted the circuit that charges the battery.

Re: spilled milk

when you say NOT WORKING, you mean it has the same symptoms as the old one?

Re: spilled milk

uh oh.. not a good sign...

i think it is best if you get a second opinion from a repair shop. i think the motherboard is gone. let's hope they find a solution that would not be too hard on the pocket.
