Acer9504WSMi Screen Problem

On my Acer 9504WSMi (over 3 years old) after rebooting my screen had a 15 cm black bar on the left and the colours on the rest of the screen are inverted.
Same at boot screen and in Safe mode.
I connected an external monitor and everything is fine on it.

Hi mate,
I am affraid your display on laptop is faulty... I think you need a replacement...
But since laptop is over 3 years old, it might be difficult to find and if you find it, it will be pretty much expensive...
But lets say what other people have to say about your problem and we will make a conclusion at the end what wold be the best for you...

yup looks like LCD indeed as vladimirb has said. as for the price it really depends on how big is the screen. i got mine 13" for $20 plus shipping. i think it is not bad since i brought my old laptop back to life.
