Please excuse me, I am 69% computer clueless here. I have a HP Pavilion ze5170 and if I leave it on and walk away for a little while the screen goes dark and moving the mouse does not bring it back. The blue power button is still illuminated but pressing it does nothing. The only way to get the thing to turn on is to press the reset button. Now if I turn the laptop off and then press the power button it turns on no problem. Someone told me it could be that I am stuck in hibernate mode but offered no repair solution. Please help! I appreciate any ideas here.

Re: Have to press reset button every time to turn on...?
hi,
first check your RAM if it is working well. run Memtest86+ (d/load link on my sig). in addition, if you have an XP install CD, run CHKDSK /R in Recovery Console. if you need more help on how to go about these, just post back.
