Re: blue screen errors

This could be caused by a damaged hard drive. If it were my computer, I would run SpinRite on it.

This usually happens when the system file can not be read.

Re: blue screen errors

ok, thanks for the reply but it seems you have to pay for SpinRite. I was hoping i could resolve this issue without any cost?

Re: blue screen errors

Another user offered the following solution earlier:
Quote:
The file system has been messed up.
Start the computer with the Windows CD.
At the Welcome to Setup screen, press R to select the repair option.
You will have to enter the Administrator password - if none, just press <Enter>.
In the recovery console - type chkdsk c: /r > press <Enter>.
When the disk check is done:
Type Exit > press <Enter>.
Take the Windows disc out and reboot.

Re: blue screen errors

You're asking me? lol

There is a way to boot it into recovery console by pushing F8 at startup just before you see the Windows logo.

Re: blue screen errors

couldnt find recovery console, so i did it through the hard drive tools bit, seems like it was the same thing as it took about an hour and half.

cant say if its worked or not because of the randomness of the error so ill wait and see...
