Enabling SATA for Windows XP[moved from xp]

I recently bought a Campaq Presario C772TU Note. I have installed Intel Matrix Storage Drive. Then in Device manager I updated the Intel(R) ICH8M 4 port Serial ATA controller - 2828. But now my computer in not running. Can anybody help to find a solution for this problem and tell me what should I do to enable SATA on my laptop(COmpaq Presario C772TU).

Welcome to TSF....

Since this computer was just purchased I would suggest contacting Compaq tech support for the warranty support the computer has left. This may be a known problem and if not then it would be a service to others who have this computer for the problem to be solved.
