I Want to go from Windows Vista Too XP - Manufacturer - Medion Model - Professional PC I Have a Window's XP CD From A Friend, And I Have A Product Key On The Bottom Of My Laptop, And The Windows CD Is The Same As Whats On My Laptop, Would His CD Work With My Product Key If There The Same Version On Window's ? Ive Uploaded A Picture For You Too Check Out :- http://i30.tinypic.com/2q9gf1s.jpg ^^ Its Basicly My System And Driver's, There On A Disc Ready For When I Go Back. The CD Came With My Laptop. Currently On Windows Vista, And In Each Driver Contains A Folder With Either XP or Vista. And The Final Bit Is There A Decent Tutorial I Could Follow On My Downgrade. ? Thanks For Your Time Layz |

Re: Vista To XP
if your system came with vista, the key you have on your system is for vista, it will not work with xp.
You will have to purchase the full retail version of xp. You cannot use oem or one that came with another system. No other choice. If you are going to downgrade, first you need to make sure there are xp drivers available for your specific system. The help forums are full of individuals who could not find the proper drivers because they are just not available for some newer components.
