Laptop will not turn on

My Dell laptop will not turn on. When I turn it on the three lights come on but cut right back off, if I hold power button down the lights blink off and on. Dell support told me it was the hard drive. I got a hard drive and it still does the same thing. Could it be the motherboard? It was replaced a while back. please help

Re: Laptop will not turn on

How old is your ram? If ram goes bad it could also cause exact same problem.

Re: Laptop will not turn on

try reseating your RAM sticks first. if that dont work, replace them with a working RAM module/s. if still does not work, remove the drive (do not remove the RAM).

also remove battery and AC adapter. press power ON for 30secs at least. then attach battery and plug in AC adapter. power ON as normal.
