LOcal area connection unplugged when it isnt
Okai. so my laptop was working perfectly fine like two weeks ago, and there has been nothing new with the connections or installations, all of a sudden i can't connect to the internet, and it won't locate any networks, or router. It says my local area connection is unplugged when i have unplugged and redone everything with my modem and router, and there is no change my computer's internet works, but for some reason the internet on my laptop won't work

Re: LOcal area connection unplugged when it isnt
Could be a few things:
1) Bad cable (try another one) 2) Failing (or failed) network adapter (these do go out) 3) Problem with Windows networking. Address this one by running a tool to reset your networking protocols called WinsockXP Fix: http://majorgeeks.com/WinSock_XP_Fix_d4372.html

Re: LOcal area connection unplugged when it isnt
i am guessing here... do you mean the WiFi connections?
if this is a WiFi issue and it cannot find your home network, it could be several things (i.e. router, WiFi card...). usually an easy test for me is to go to the nearest free hotspot place in our city. if it can find and connect to the free hotspot network, then for sure, it is not the WiFi on your laptop.
