Acer Aspire 9300

Hi all,

I have the following setup

Acer Aspire 9300
2GB Ram
Running Windows Vista

My wife has an Acer 9300 laptop that she uses for work / uni and last night it just started to freeze, nothing would work at all and I had to push the on button for 4 seconds for it to switch off.

When I tried to reboot nothing happened, the power comes on but the screen stays blank.

I left it for 30 mins booted it back up and it took me into Windows Vista again, after 3-5 mins it froze again.

After a few attempts the commuter stays active for between 1-5 mins (depending on how long I left it before I switched on)

Any suggestions on how to fix?

Many thanks in advance
David

Re: Acer Aspire 9300

it could be overheating. how long has it been running before the freeze happens? check the vents or monitor your temps using programs like SpeedFan.

it could be the RAM too, test it using Memtest86+.

btw, is this still under warranty? if so, bring it to ACER. this way you do not void anything in the warranty.
