BIOS update[moved from xp]
Last night I decided to update my BIOS from 4.20 to version 4.30 to see if it would improve performance any bit. I downloaded the file from Toshiba, backed-up the old BIOS and flashed it with the new settings. I restarted my laptop and I noticed a difference in speed, it was slower and didn't take me to the login screen. It just kind of froze there. I switched it off and on again and this time it worked. I managed to login fine but the CPU and fans were going crazy. Everytime I'd open a folder or a browser, somtimes even when I go to a website the CPU would reach 20-25% for folders 50-60% for opening the browser and web pages and the fans would follow right after (I can constantly hear them on unlike before).
I've looked all over for the previous BIOS version (4.20) and haven't been able to find it anywhere. I'm not sure if anyone could tell me why it's doing that but If anyone could tell where to find a BIOS v4.20 for Toshiba Satellite P100-434 (PSPADE) would be a great help.

Re: BIOS update[moved from xp]
I'm afraid to say i cant find 2.20 for the P series
Try this site for drivers and BIOS, select the family and model and then click downloads to see the drivers for that model You might get lucky ![]() Sorry regards Craig

Re: BIOS update[moved from xp]
Thanks,
I guess I have no other choice :( ...hm If I backed the previous version up (like I said above - 1st post) then shouldn't I be able to access it somehow and flash the newer one with that?
