Dell XPS M140 wireless problem

Ok, the wireless problem i'm having with this laptop is that the Hardware radio switch on the laptop itself isn't working, you can open the wireless setting and Enable the radio, but this still isn't enabling the wireless, to enable it is Fn+F2, but it does nothing whatsoever, all of the other function keys work, the right driver is installed, i've checked that much, any suggestions on what to do or what to check to get it to enable?

how does it look like in Device Manager? also another option is to try another wifi card (a known working card).

everything in Device Manager is fine, so it's not the driver...

try a working WiFi card instead just for testing.
