crushed monitor
I had a freak accident this weekend that resulted in the monitor of my closed hp laptop being dented by a twenty pound piece of hardwood.
 As a result, when I open the laptop and attempt to use it, the screen looks like a liquid has exploded inside it everywhere exept for the upper left hand corner. From the part of the monitor that still works, the computer itself seems to be operable. Can laptop monitors be fixed or replaced? If the computer is three years old, it it worth replacing the monitor?

yes, they can be replaced. LCD screens can cost around $150 if brand new. check in eBay.
