how do i instal???

um..? this is my moms laptop but i use it mostly when she is at home. im not sure how to intstall sound on this thing..? all the sounds it makes is when is starts, turns off and when cautions cum up. how do i install sound on a dell inspiron 1521 laptop? help please!

download the driver from dell and install it
is there any yellow alongside of it's listing in the device manager
