what am i missing here?[moved from xp]

just bought a not so perfect laptop Compaq Evo N800C from my friend. Device manager is showing the following devices with one yellow mark on one of the device.Can anybody tell me what driver i need to fix it ans where can i find it.

just to add its showing windows xp version 2002, do i need to update or do i need to install any drivers from hp website???
any suggestions?

If windows has just been re-installed or not I would install all of the special chipset drivers that need be installed get installed they are found either at the manufacturers web site for the computer or the manufacturers web site for the motherboard, once downloaded burn all of them to a cd-r and then install all of them no matter what.

Chipset=Intel i845MP

What is the model number of the Compaq?

The laptop model is Compaq EVO N800C.
The sticker under the laptop is showing N 800CP X4 20 W C 250 US

i deleted the yellow mark, then I installed the utility from the above link, it ran and said found new hardware, and promted me to restart the machine, after restart the found new hardware wizrard pop up, and on clicking next it searched for the driver but no driver found. I clicked finished, then it showed "your new hardware might not be working properly" ballon pop up in the right bottom corner.

Nothing happened, that yellow mark is still there... any other ideas??

Need a better hardware ID program......I use Everest Home:

You can use the specific device ID (coupled with the hardware's actual location to match what it says for the yellow-flagged device) to track down the right drivers.

Hello again
I ran the utility you told me for the chipset information.
THis is what it showed.

also i ran the shipset information utlity from the website it displayed at the bottom. and that showed me this.

so should i look for chipset i845MP/MZ drivers from intel support website????
please advice

i installed the driver from the website but the setup doesn't work. please see below.

i tried many times downloading the driver again but i get the same thing.
i think this yellow mark won't go away.
