Verticle Lines on screen

hey guys,
I have a Acer aspire 5610Z laptop with vista.
I have just noticed that there are two very thin yet visible lines running top to bottom of the screen. they look like ones an orange/red color and the other blue. they are close together.
after various searches I'm thinkin it could be either the graphics card, graphics card driver, or the screens nackered.

I'm not hugely knowledgable in computer matters but am willin to learn!

i'v tried the following things to see if it makes a difference.

Openin in safe mode - no change

updating Mobile Intel 945GM Express Chipset Family Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver - no change.

any one any ideas wat action I can take?

I've got me laptop insured for damage, repairs etc, but dont want to send it away if its somethin i can look into fixing (obviously ifs it hardware then its going to be sent away!!)

any one else experience this problem?

any help would be great!
thanks in advance though!

p.s i've posted this in the VIDEO CARD SUPPORT forum too, i'm new here, so not sure where to post it!sorry!

i'm sure one of u administrators will move or remove it if i'v miss placed it!
thanks

Ted
