D & E disk drive missing after reformat my laptop.

I need help over here.
I have reformatted my laptop.
After reformatted it, the hard-drive screwed up.
My D:/ drive and E:/ drive were missing.
I couldn't locate the drives in My Computer,
I tried to search it from Control Panel, Device Manager, but unfortunately, i can't find it from there too.
Eventually, the D drive became the DVD driver (instead of E drive) & the removable disk become E drive (instead of F drive).
How to retrieve back my original D and E drive?
The cause of this problem could be when i reformat my laptop, i might be accidentally pressed DELETE PARTITION in D drives.
For your info, my laptop's model is ACER ASPIRE 4520.

Try this: Have you "lost" a hard drive, partition or files in your computer?

Thanks for the reply.
I have tried to fix it using the "testdisk". But it seems doesn't work.
(I have attached the files for your reference)
In step "B" = i couldn't find the D:/ drive partition, so i select "Disk/dev/sda" instead.
when i am in step G = it's written "No partition found".
In step F = i pressed "N" because i am running the window xp.
(When it doesn't work, i tried to redo the steps again but i typed "Y" this time)
But it seems the results were the same.
I am not sure whether i did it correctly or not?
But when i reboot my laptop, everything is still the same, i couldn't find D:/ drive in My Computer (please view the file attached).
I afraid that i have accidentally deleted the D:/ disk drive partition when i formatted my laptop. I hope that i can retrieve back my D drive.
Hope that you could help me.

D is usually the recovery partition

How large is the HDD?
If it's 120GB, then the recovery has formatted all of it and created a 111GB C: partition.

You can try to recover some of the lost files on the partition that disappeared.
Some data recovery programs:

GetDataBack
Recuva
Roadkil's Unstoppable Copier
