CD/DVD laptop problems
Hiya
![]() I have an Advent laptop, running on Windows XP. My problem is my CD/DVD Drive, it won't load/play any CD's/DVD's. I put a disk in and it makes a humming noise as if its loading and the green light on the drive comes on but then the light goes out, no noise, nothing. Does anybody have any advice on this? Thanks C |

Re: CD/DVD laptop problems
hi C,
can you still see the drive in My Computer? how about in Device Manager? try deleting upper/lower filters or use CDGONE (use Google for d/load link).

Re: CD/DVD laptop problems
Hiya,
Yes, in my computer, I can see CD Drive E: but when I click on it, it says please insert CD into drive. In device manager when I click on DVD/CD-ROM drives and expand it displays LP5030V FPQ320N SCSI CdRom Device (which says working properly under device status) |
