laptop shuts down during gameplay
TYPE: Lenovo IBM Thinkpad T61p(2 months old)
OS: WinXP Pro SP2 Processor: 2.6gh duo RAM: 3gb VIDEO CARD: Nvidia Quadro FX 570m While running the game Eve Online every couple of hours the system shuts off. First I figured it might be overheating, so I put a couple sandals under it near the sides, so it would have some air room under it. After that it ran substantially cooler(hand under laptop test) but the problem still persisted. If I try to run two game clients at once it shuts down after only a little while as opposed to every couple hours. I tried updating drivers but the problem persists. |

Re: laptop shuts down during gameplay
hi,
giving it some 'space' to breathe is one way to approach this. best if you can open it up and clean the insides from dust. if you are not comfortable doing this, just get a can of air and shoot a good amount thru the vents, make sure nothing obstructs the fins of the heatsink (not even dust).
