Monitor Problems

Hi,
I have this line running throw the middle of my screen. I will like to know if I have to change the whole LCD or if its just something less expensive. I used to move the monitor before and it would it disappear but thats not working anymore, instead sometimes I just get another line.

it sounds like one of the connections to the screen is loose
someone with more knowledge of laptops will reply when they come online

I see well the computer is 4 years old (If that helps) and is a Hp Compaq nx6110.
Thanks for the tip thought, if that would it be the case like how much is the price range to get that repaired?
